Leo had a busy week at school, went farming with Grandpa and had two days with no naps. This picture was taken at 7:05 Friday evening. :) He slept until 8:05 the next morning. Maybe that's what we need to do with the boys every day!! ;)

The Patch {2011}
If you are an avid reader (namely, my mom, sister, Tom, Melia and Sabrina...) you know that I LOVE fall. I just love it. I put my fall decorations up on August 31st every year. I just can't help it. It's sooo fun to decorate for fall. (And yes, I am one of those people that puts their Christmas stuff up the day after Thanksgiving.)
Anyway, one of my favorite fall activities is heading to the pumpkin patch. We went last Sunday and got some (7!) pumpkins and apples. The boys loved playing in the patch. Melia went with us and took some pictures. I did too, but she's like famous and I'm not with my cheapy camera. :)
Eli (of course) had to have his football with him. He wouldn't put it down for anything...
Leo was pretty content to smile for my pictures and loved looking for the perfect pumpkin.
Searching for our giant pumpkin...
which we did find. However, it is white. It is soo pretty! I will have to get some pictures of where I set them around the house cause they are so cool!
We had a lot of fun getting the pumpkins. The boys thought it was great. Now to have our carving party! :)

Well, at least it looks like he is. He would take a bite, suck out the juice, and then spit the rest out. Lovely. ;)

Found my sweeties doing this a few Saturdays ago. Rockin' and readin'. They are so cute together. E has to do everything Leo does. It's so funny!

The Big 4-0-0!
And I thought the big 3-0 was an impressive number...
Welcome to our 400th post!
Yep. Today is my 30th birthday. I'll be honest with you... I've been dreading this day for exactly 365 days. Unfortunately for me, I like even numbers, so I didn't like being 20, and I won't like being 31. Ugh. It's a rough 3 years... ;) Not gonna lie, there's been lots of tears and bad moods and "mid-life crisis" actions at our house.
On Friday night Sabrina came home to spend a little time with me before she had to go to a weekend even for school. It was so great to see her :).
This past weekend I was "surprised" (ha ha ha!) by my friends Julie and Jill. We, along with our husbands, went to the city and got pedicures. Well, Julie and I did, Jill isn't a big fan of feet things, so she got a manicure. After the pampering, we went to a place in the mall to eat before we went to the comedy club.
I forgot how much I love to eat "munchy" things for meals. Sadly, my body quickly reminded me why I don't do that more often. Ugh. Anyway, we went to the comedy club in the city, and laughed so hard we almost cried!
Then we headed to the new casino by our town. For your birthday you get $10. And me, being a very big gambler (ha!), won $50 on the penny slots! It was so fun!
Today at school my mother, who will pay for this..., gave Julie pictures to hang around the school. Lovely. Bad hair and teeth and all. Thanks Mom... Julie's class came and sang to me. They were so cute! I had a few of them last year, so since now I really was their "old" teacher, they had to come see me. I mentioned to my class that I was still in my twenties until 2:11, so they had to think I was cool until then. They were busy working on their reading, and all of a sudden they started counting down...at exactly 2:11 my class sang "Happy Birthday." So sweet!
My parents and God-parents and Melia came for cake on Monday evening. We had a lot of fun.
Well, I guess that's it. It's over. It's done. I'm th-th-th-thirty. Yikes... I won't be saying that too often. I like "I'm 29+1" a lot better.

M is for Morningside, Mommy and...
Megan!
Justin and I took the boys down to visit Megan at college this past weekend. Leo is all about college right now. If you ask him which college he is going to attend, his answer depends on who he has seen most recently. Morningside does stand a better chance since Sabrina, Megan and Hunter all go there. It was like his heaven!
We saw Meg's dorm, shopped a little, and went to our favorite place "down south". I love wings and pizza. Justin didn't eat until he was sick this time, which is a good thing...
Our next visit is the 1st of October, different college, different friend. :) Gotta love road tripping!

The {Official} 1st Day of School!
After about a million darks, we are finally at the first day of school!
Leo woke me up at 3 AM asking if it was time to go. So to say he was excited, would be an understatement! :)
I woke him up and got him dressed in the outfit he chose to wear. (Not gonna lie, I bought him a new outfit to wear, but he wanted to wear his Dylan shirt... who am I to argue?)
We did the usual first day of school pictures. I've decided every 1st day of school we are going to take pictures at the same place in our house.
Eli had to get in on the mix as well. :) E wanted to go to school too!
At school, Leo's best bud, and our neighbor, Jaxson, started Wee School, too. I took a picture of them together. I put it on facebook, and someone commented, "Before you know it, they'll be in their caps and gowns." Oh, yikes! That made this momma cry! We'll enjoy the moments now...
I asked Leo what he thought of his first day. "I didn't learn anything, Mommy." Hmm, typical answer. :)

Here Comes MY Lion!!
Leo is officially a CL Lion! He is attending Pre-School this fall!
We had Leo's pre-school open house last night. He's been counting down the darks since July, it seems like!
Last week, his teacher and para in the room came for a visit to our house. It was fun for them to get to know Leo. He was so chatty! He told them that he's really good at sports. (lol!) He was hamming it up pretty good!
So tonight I wanted him to wear what he wanted to wear on the first day of school. He wanted to wear his "Dylan" shirt***. He's decked out in his Dylan shirt, his "speedy shoes" and gel in his hair (Just for you Sabrina!!).
He loved the open house and is counting down the darks until he gets to "go back every day until lunch time, and then ride the big blue bus, and not take a nap because I am four. Just take a rest."

I'm so excited for Leo to start school. It seems like just a short time ago, we were waiting for him to be born!
Leo Beo, I look forward to watching you grow and learn this year. You are so amazing! I love you!

***Dylan is a high school student from our town, who is battling cancer. Dylan is dating Brenda, one of our RCYF girls, and who I have to be if Leo and I play basketball. Brenda is always "on fire." Anyway, Leo thinks Dylan is pretty awesome. He remembers him in his prayers every night, and always asks if he is feeling ok at his hospital. Leo also wears his Dylan bracelet everyday. We lost one at Corn Show, and he cried a lot. Luckily Brenda's mom had some extra. :) Sometimes I don't know why bad things happen to great people, especially kids, but it is all part of God's plan. We will faithfully walk along side Dylan, encourage him, his family, his girlfriend, and his friends. I believe God is going to let our community see a miracle through Dylan. He will bring many people to Christ. Fight fast, Dylan! We are praying you through!***
