College Roadtrip!

Leo went on his first college road trip yesterday! We went down to see Sabrina at Morningside. The trip to Sioux City was a little longer than he would have liked, but he entertained himself by Velcro-ing his shoes!

When we finally got there, he ran up and down and up and down and up and down the hallway. He knocked on the doors and would say, "hi" whenever anyone answered.

Sabrina finally got him to sit, so they took their Valentine picture together. Aren't they sweet? :)

After we played for a bit, we went to Target and then to Bob Roe's. Oh the chicken wings and pizza were amazing!! Leo was well behaved (so was Sabrina...) :) Aren't we so cute!

Then came the mall. Leo thought it was great fun to run and hide while I was shoe shopping. Then he would fall on the floor and laugh like crazy. I think he gets that from Justin!

We had a really good time. Here are the cute little "lovebirds" again.

We love this girl!

Oo, Oo, Ah, Ah

This is for you Sabrina!

Leo loves monkeys, and always says, "Oo, oo, ah, ah, bye-bye." (I saw it on the Disney channel once, and said it. He repeats everything!)

Today we got him to wish Sabrina good luck on her track meet.

"Oo, oo, ah, ah, RUN FAST!!!"

Basketball Games

I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned that Leo loves basketball. :)

I'm not kidding when I say it's the first thing he talks about in the morning and plays before he goes to bed. The kid is just obsessed with basketball. It's totally cool by Jus and me.

We've been working on getting him to sit at the Varsity games lately. He does pretty well up until the game has to start. Something about the National Anthem (or maybe the fact that they stop the "Oh" song) gets him all crazy and crying. We don't have to plug his ears any more for the buzzer...thank goodness! But on Tuesday, he did great! We both (Jus & I) got to watch the entire girls game! (Sorry boys, I have to take Leo home for bed before your game starts!)

Here are a few shots of him in his Lions gear watching the game:

Sitting in the stands read for tip off.

Looking for Kiley, Josie & Megan. (We would say their names and he'd stare and point at them.)

The next two are late in the 4th quarter. We were winning by 20, and he was getting a little restless. I wonder what it looks like upside down!

Silly kid! Either way, that smile tells you he is having a grand time!

If You Dress Him...

it will come. Spring that is...

I love spring. (Yes, this is sounding a bit like the "I love fall" post, but I can love spring, too!) I love the way the way it smells when the snow is melting, like the world is getting ready. I love that snow is GONE and so is the freezing weather. But, the main reason I love spring... I LOVE THE CLOTHES!!! I swear, spring clothes for little boys are the cutest things ever. The baby blues and browns and navy and greens. It makes my heart all a flutter. :)

I went shopping today for a few hours, and found all the new spring things. I think I did pretty well not spending all of my life savings on clothes for Leo. But seriously, look at the cute shirt, pants and shoes I got for Leo.

Speaking of the cute pants. Look at these... Aren't they cute. But wait... look closer at that tag...

That tag says size 2T. Break my heart into a million pieces. :(

We meet the height requirement, but are about ten lbs. short on weight...

I realize that this post is coming smack in the middle of winter, and I have 2 months to go. But if you were in NWI the past few days, we had a tropical heatwave (40 degrees ABOVE zero!). I could see melting and didn't wear a coat outside yesterday. I know, I heard the forecast for this week...snow...and lots of it... But hey, a girl can dream of warm temps, bright colors and tulips...

And see how cute he looks in spring attire?

We are ready for you spring!

"Let's Listen For Some Popcorn"

Can you guess where that quote comes from? Any guesses where Leo & I went on Friday?

Here Leo is sitting waiting area, waiting for our turn. We talked to Rachelle while we waited, but we were sad that Meredith was sick and not working. Any guesses?

I think this picture spills the beans!

If you guessed the chiropractor, good guess!

I've been having some trouble with my shoulder and ribs, so I've been going to Dr. Cody for about a week. I mentioned to him that the trouble started from holding Leo all night when he won't sleep. He asked if I'd ever considered taking him to a chiropractor.
Um, no, not really. I was kind of afraid that he'd get his head snapped off.
Ok, ok, I know that isn't really going to happen, but if you know me I worry about EVERYTHING. Seriously, everything.

So after talking to Dr. Cody and Meredith, I decided it would be ok. Well, really, I'm willing to try anything to get Leo to sleep at night (minus the cry it out method...).
Leo's appointment was Friday after school. We went in, and I went first. He wasn't so sure about what was happening to me. He kind of cried the entire time, and Justin tried to reassure him. (My "stuff" is doing much better, and I don't go back for a month!)
Now it was Leo's turn. Dr. Cody told us that he (Leo not Dr. Cody) would probably scream bloody murder the entire time. To say I was nervous would be an understatement...
Leo went right to Dr. Cody and sat on his lap. As he was feeling up his spine Leo didn't cry...he giggled! He thought that it tickled! Silly boy! When Dr. Cody found places where Leo was "out" he told him to "listen for some popcorn." There were no tears! He found three or four places where he needed to be adjusted.
Next came the activator in the neck area. Leo didn't like this as much, and cried some. Dr. Cody used the activator three times, and then gave Leo to us. He cried until we asked if we should go bye-bye. He stopped and said, "Yeah." :)

Friday morning he'd been kind of a crabby pants, but when we got home, he was down right silly. He was playing like crazy, and his nose started running. I think (in my vast medical experience...) maybe it helped get the junk from his head to drain.

He's been eating better and has been in a super mood! His sleep isn't 100%, but we knew it wouldn't be a cure all right way. He soothed himself back to sleep twice last night, so we are on the right track.
How about that for free advertisement! :)

Leo by the table. He actually sat on Dr. Cody's lap, which he was fine with.

If you have a non-sleeper or a pain in the back, neck, etc. give Dr. Cody a call!
*I'm not sure if my loyal followers have noticed that I haven't blogged all week, but if you remember what happened a year about this week, you know I've been on edge all week. If you need a catch up you can go here.
But I am happy to report: NO RSV!!!!!! NO PNEUMONIA!!!
I was talking to one of my friends (my very wise friend) this week and she said to me what does the date matter, Sara? Instead of worrying about the date, let it go and see how he is healthy and happy. (Thanks Julie!)

Way Better Than TV!

We moved our "new" TV upstairs this Christmas break, and had to switch entertainment centers.

Since we have a climber on our hands, it wasn't long until he found a new place to hide and play.

We've decided watching him is way better than TV!

And he doesn't mind having all eyes on him!
