Spring that is! Well, at least for today!
The temps were very high for a March day in NWI. It was great! The kids at recess were begging for "5 more minutes," and being the kind teacher I am, I granted their wish. :) (Between you and me, I wanted to enjoy the weather too!)
Leo was loving it outside when we got home from daycare. We were outside with Greg, Sherry, Scott & Buddy. Leo loved chasing Buddy around the yard. One thing we'll have to watch this summer, Leo is NOT afraid of the street. Yikes~good thing I'm speedy!

After we went in to eat, much to Leo's dismay, we called a few friends to see if they wanted to meet us at the park. We struck out a few times, but had a maybe, so off we went. While on our walk we ran into Will & Charlie (and their mom & dad!). They were going to the park too, and guess what they had??? A basketball!! Leo's favorite thing (next to his beloved paci!).

We were at the park for less than one minute before he tripped, fell, and rolled in a mud puddle. Boys will be boys! Soon he was playing ball and having a blast. Charlie kept talking to Leo and trying to play, but Leo only had eyes for that basketball.

Sorry, Charlie! I need the ball!

Justin missed all of our fun because he was playing in his Monday night basketball league. (They were playing for 3rd place...but, didn't win.) One of my TKer's mom and I have been talking all season that we needed to have a shopping league while Jus and Paul were playing ball. Tonight I decided that it would be fun to meet her and her girls at the park. Leo loved playing with Kaylee, Ashlynn and Lexi (when he was taking a break from basketball).

We stayed at the park until some older kids came and caused Leo to trip on a basketball and bite his cheek. (Wow, did he cry!) So, the first day of "spring" is over, and my little Leo should sleep soundly because of the fresh air.**
**At least I sure hope so!
