Tubes Take 2

We've done the tube thing before. We knew the drill. It would be easy, solve the problems, and a piece of cake.

Well, Eli was a little different that Leo. Leo was super easy to calm down after the surgery, Eli not so much.

I was so nervous for Eli because he has been eating in the night, but he did so well the night before. I'm so proud of him.

We got to have his surgery in town, which is great! No drive early in the morning after a snow day. We went to the hospital at 7:45 and surgery was supposed to start at 8:30. The doctor didn't show up until 8:45. E was getting a little hungry. When he went back I had to walk him to the door. It was kind of hard. :( He went with a nurse who is a memeber at our church, so that made it much easier. Justin had a very important meeting at work that morning so he had to leave at 8:15, so my dad sat with me. :)

Our friend Alyssa came to visit us while we were waiting. Thanks Alyssa!

I felt so bad for both Grandpa Randy and Eli after surgery. Eli screamed for 90 minutes, literally screamed. And my dad isn't a big fan of crying so I know he was uncomfortable. Thanks dad!

Anyway, once we got him home he was a happy little guy. It was so great to see him happy. I'm hoping they do the trick!

Eli {11 Months}

Eli! Only one month until you are 1 year old?! How did that happen?

What can my sweet 11 month old do?

~You can crawl! (And you get into everything!)

~You love to eat, but not a big fan of your bottle. You'd rather eat Leo's yogurt.

~You love to take baths. When we walk into "the boys" bathroom you practically jump out of my arms to get to the tub.

~You are getting tubes on Nov. 23rd. I think you like to copy or out do Leo! You've had double ear infection for about a month straight.

~You like to sleep on your side, snuggled up next to me. :)

~You are wearing 12-8 month clothes.

~You weigh 20 lbs. 9 oz. (You lost a little weight because you were pretty sick and because you've been crawling up a storm.)

~You are 30 inches tall

~You can pull yourself to stand on anything.

~You love to walk behind the lion toy we have.

~You can play patty-cake, give fives, give kisses, wave bye-bye, say "hi", "Leo" and "mama", once in great while you'll say "dada", play so big and crawl super fast.

~You love to be with your mom and dad and brother. You also love daycare and the ladies there.

~You are so stinking cute and we love you so much!

~What will you learn in the next month?

Wanna Ride?

Leo will gladly give you one. :)

Only problem, he doesn't really help you out...he dumps you out.

After all, why would be be called a dump truck otherwise?
